Bio-Dispersant

The accumulation of microbiological slimes, biofilms and general bio-fouling in cooling water systems reduces system efficiency, increases operating and maintenance costs. If ignored leads to under deposit and pitting type of corrosion. Our synthetic organic Bio dispersant is effective in removing dead algal and slime mass from cooling system. It has a capacity to penetrate inside the thick algae mats on the cooling tower deck or fills and help the biocide to penetrate the biomass. It also has a deterrent effect and it cleans the system on line. Generally it is dosed prior to biocide or along with biocide to enhance its efficacy:

UNICHEM-3300 is a non-ionic, foaming bio dispersant for use in open recirculatory cooling water system. The product has both hydrophobic and hydrophilic characteristic, which helps in removing and dispersing slime deposits. It enhances the effectiveness of chlorine and non-oxidizing biocides. Regular use of UNICHEM-3300 disperses biomass and brings it in circulation where chlorine attack is easier. The product is non-toxic and non-polluting at use levels Daily addition of UNICHEM 3300 (once in 24 Hrs.) results in clean cooling system.

Application & Dosage Information

UNICHEM-3300 should be fed continuously into the system at a point where it will be mixed and uniformly distributed.

UNICHEM-3300 may be diluted with water if required.

UNICHEM-3300 should be dosed at the rate of 100ml/m3 of system volume.

For continuous dosage to enhance the performance of biocide programmes in either a recirculating or once through system a dosage of 5-10ml/m3 of make-up should be maintained.
