Unichem’s advanced reverse osmosis chemicals are scientifically formulated to help optimise reverse osmosis recovery rates, improve the operational efficiency of RO plant installations; and reduce problems associated with scaling and corrosion.
UNICHEM-3291 is a chemically modified polycarboxylate of low molecular weight, and is non-volatile. The product is P and N free and can be used together with chlorine as a biocide. As a result of its special molecular weight distribution UNICHEM-3291 acts both as a scale inhibitor and a dispersing agent. The scale inhibiting effect is particularly marked against CaCo3, CaSO4, silica and silicates and BaSO4.
UNICHEM-3291 is an efficient Antiscalent / Antifoulants control agent for reverse osmosis systems. Latest Polymers have been incorporated in the formulation which prevent deposits and protects system. UNICHEM-329 is highly effective for salts like CaCO3, CaSO4, BaSO4, and SrSO4 CaF2. It also effectively disperses soluble and insoluble Iron & Silica. The dispersing action of
UNICHEM-3291 helps to keeps the system free from chemical fouling. UNICHEM-3291 is very effective and suitable for potable water systems.

UNICHEM-3291 is dosed continuously into the feed water prior to the membrane systems at typical dose rates of 3-6 mg/L depending on water chemistry and system conditions.
Our technical consultant will advise you of the correct dosage for your individual system.
It is recommended to operate the dosing pump with the highest possible frequency and to adjust the dosage by adjusting the pump stroke to ensure membrane protection.
UNICHEM-3291 has the added advantage of using RO permeate for dilution, with a fresh solution made every 3-5 days.
